Voyager Technologies Names Former Anduril Exec Paul Tilghman as CTO

Voyager Technologies has appointed Paul Tilghman as its new chief technology officer. Tilghman, a former Anduril Industries executive, will lead the technology strategy and innovation road map, advancing mission-critical solutions across ground, air and space domains, according to a Voyager press release published Monday.

“We’re bringing in a CTO who doesn’t just envision the future; he builds it,” said Voyager CEO Dylan Taylor. “His ability to translate concepts into deployed systems will push the boundaries of what’s possible, uniting cutting-edge AI, machine learning, and autonomy with the company’s capabilities that span government, industry, and technology.”

Paul Tilghman’s Career Highlights

Tilghman’s career involved leadership over government, commercial and defense technology initiatives. Most recently, he served as chief engineer of connected warfare at Anduril Industries, where he launched a new Joint All-Domain Command and Control strategy and created an electromagnetic spectrum operations business area, new software products and fresh market opportunities.

Before joining Anduril, he served as a senior director of Azure space connectivity and Azure spectrum technologies at Microsoft, where he oversaw a satellite communications portfolio.

In 2014, the executive became a program manager focused on wireless artificial intelligence research area at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, managing $350 million in contract execution to advance national security across electronic warfare.

Tilghman also held leadership roles at Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Technology Laboratories in adaptive electronic warfare, signals intelligence and non-cooperative geolocation.

“Space and defense must accelerate to match the pace of the threat, and success will hinge on blending defense, commercial and dual-use technologies with rapid AI adoption,” said the new CTO. “Voyager is uniquely positioned to fuse defense, commercial and space technologies at speed, and I’m thrilled to join the company to help lead that charge.”

Tilghman earned a bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in electrical engineering from Drexel University.
