Navy Seeks Proposals for MARCENT OAMS Follow-On Contract

The Department of the Navy has started seeking proposals for professional support services for the U.S. Marine Corps Central Command and its subordinate commands.

MARCENT OAMS Follow-on Contract Scope

According to the notice posted on SAM.gov Tuesday, the required support services will cover command element, manpower, intelligence, operations, logistics, planning and communications. The scope of work will also include operations plans, concepts plans, strategy development, doctrinal reviews, operational policy reviews, crisis action planning, deliberate planning support, training and educational plans and wargaming exercise support. These services will support the USMC Forces’ Central Command Operations Analysis Management Services, or OAMS. The work will be performed within the continental U.S. and outside continental U.S.

The contract has a potential value of $110 million. Responses to the request for proposals will be accepted until Sept. 30.

What Is MARCENT?

MARCENT is a USMC service component for the U.S. Central Command based at the MacDill Air Force Base in Florida. It is organized into various directorates, namely, a Command Element, Manpower Directorate, Intelligence Directorate, Operations Directorate, Logistics Directorate, Plans Directorate, Communication Directorate, Comptroller Directorate, Staff Judge Advocate Directorate, Communications Strategy & Operations Directorate and a Force Surgeon Directorate.
