Sam Hussain has joined Capgemini Government Solutions as U.S. defense sector head.
In his new role, he will oversee strategy and mission execution in support of customers from the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community and the wider defense industrial base, the company wrote in a LinkedIn post Wednesday.
“Sam’s strategic insight and deep mission familiarity make him an ideal leader to advance our OneCapgemini vision,” said Dan Ford, CEO of CGS and a 2025 Wash100 Award winner. “He will play a critical role in accelerating our clients’ speed-to-mission through commercial innovation and technical excellence. I’m thrilled to welcome Sam to the Capgemini leadership team.”

Who is Sam Hussain?
Hussain brings to the role nearly two decades of experience in the defense sector.
Before assuming his new responsibilities at CGS, he led corporate strategy and growth at Peraton for over two years. He was in charge of client and partner engagement, pursuit strategy, opportunity pipeline development, and marketing efforts. During his time at the company, he got to work on Air Force, Space Force, Army, Navy, NASA, CIA and other government missions.
He also held the role of executive director of business development at CACI International, where he also worked on DOD programs.
Earlier in his career, Hussain also served as an operations officer for the DOD during the Global War on Terrorism.
