General Dynamics’ information technology business unit has secured a potential five-year, $396 million contract to support the Special Operations Forces under the U.S. Special Operations Command.
Work under the contract includes providing well-integrated, flexible and adaptable enterprise IT services in response to the SOF’s need for modernized IT networks that facilitate rapid data transfer, communication, and sharing of operational and intelligence information, especially for dynamic and complex missions in contested and remote environments, General Dynamics Information Technology said on Friday.
The IT services involve the delivery of artificial intelligence capabilities designed to enhance operational effectiveness, improve decision-making, migrate SOF to a multicloud environment, and implement advanced zero trust solutions to boost cybersecurity.
GDIT Supporting Combatant Commands
The latest award, which has a one-year base period and four option years, follows a technical and mission services contract GDIT secured in 2024 to support SOCOM and its partners. GDIT also provides digital modernization services for the U.S. Central Command and cyber services for the U.S. Southern Command.
