Xpect Solutions said Tuesday the transaction marks its first acquisition since being acquired by NewSpring in October 2024.
Xpect will integrate GovDefender’s capabilities in cloud architecture, security and compliance, UI/UX and threat assessment with its expertise in addressing complex challenges to deliver end-to-end enterprise technical platforms to customers, including advanced web and mobile development, secure cloud and network architecture, governance and application modernization.
What Does GovDefender Do?
GovDefender develops secure digital media intake platforms that facilitate the rapid processing of digital content, enabling federal agencies to solve crimes faster.
Founded by next-generation solutions architect Josh Baze, GovDefender has a team of subject matter experts known for their deep customer engagement and ability to address gaps in enterprise IT environments.
Xpect Solutions CEO Yusuf Abdul-Salaam said GovDefender’s ability to build technical platforms that can be fielded at mission speed will deliver automation, efficiency and secure outcomes to agency partners.
“Together, we’ll equip federal law enforcement and national security agencies with the confidence to test innovation with minimal risk and embrace the changes necessary to navigate an ever-evolving threat landscape, ensuring they remain one step ahead,” the chief executive added.
Baze expressed excitement with the combination and noted that GovDefender’s employees will gain access to expanded resources and back-office support, enabling the company to better support federal customers.
