The Department of Defense said Friday the Army expects work on the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System supply contract award to run through Oct. 20, 2027.
Army Contracting Command will determine work locations and funding upon award of each order.
GMLRS is a GPS-guided, all-weather munition that provides precision strike capability for warfighters and can be fired from the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and the MLRS family of launchers.
In May, the Army awarded Lockheed a pair of contract modifications worth $553 million combined to build and deliver GMLRS to the military branch and foreign military customers.
