Byer’s career spans time working as a contributor, project manager and laboratory manager, and her experience includes using analytical techniques, artificial intelligence and machine learning to characterize materials.
She has a Doctor of Philosophy and a Master of Engineering in materials science and engineering from Virginia Tech, while her Bachelor of Science in physics is from Bucknell University.
Fornax-AM provides customers with lightweight, high-density products composed of advanced alloys, metallics and ceramic composite materials. The company supports the missions of the departments of Energy and Defense, NASA and other aerospace and defense community players.
