General Dynamics, IMT Defense Secure $654M Army Contract Modification for M1128 Artillery Production

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) ordnance and tactical systems division and IMT Defense have secured a contract modification worth $654.5 million to produce and supply artillery assemblies for the U.S. Army.

The vendors will compete for each order of the fixed-price contract that covers the provision of 155-millimeter M1128 artillery metal parts to the service branch through April 2028, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Army Contracting Command will determine work budget and locations upon the issuance of each order.

In April, General Dynamics and IMT Defense were awarded spots on a five-year, $344.2 million contract to produce, test, package and deliver artillery projectile metal parts to the service branch.

General Dynamics won a $218 million initial task order from the Army in September for 155mm M1128 load, assemble and pack requirements.
