Boeing (NYSE: BA) has received the U.S. Air Force’s tenth aircraft production lot contract to supply 15 additional KC-46A Pegasus tankers.
The company announced Tuesday that it was granted a $2.3 billion contract modification, which will be fulfilled by its defense, space and security business.
The project was last modified in January, with a target completion date on Aug. 31, 2026. In the Lot 10 contract, Boeing is expected to produce the multi-mission aerial refuelers by July 31, 2027, according to the Department of Defense.
The service branch is using fiscal 2024 aircraft procurement funds to obligate the full $2.3 billion at the time of the award. The contracting activity is the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
Out of 153 KC-46As currently on contract around the world, Boeing has so far delivered 76 units to the Air Force.
