The U.S. Agency for International Development has awarded seven companies spots on a potential five-year, $800 million contract to provide services in support of USAID’s regional and bilateral programs in Latin America and the Caribbean.
USAID announced the awardees for the Central America Regional Support Services indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract in a notice published Wednesday on SAM.gov.
Through the CARSS contract, USAID will procure services to address economic insecurity and lack of economic opportunity; strengthen democratic governance, reduce gender-based violence, promote respect for human rights and a free press and address migration dynamics; improve resilience to climate change, food security and health threats; and build up the capacity of local partners and deliver technical and management expertise to the agency’s missions.
Contractors will provide management, personnel, supplies, equipment, facilities, transportation and other services in support of task orders to be issued under the IDIQ contract, according to an amended solicitation published in May.
