The U.S. Air Force plans to increase the ceiling value of a potential $6.4 billion multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract used to acquire natural disaster recovery, contingency and humanitarian support services to $15 billion.
Increasing the ceiling amount of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program V IDIQ contract will help mitigate mission impact across the Department of Defense and provide sufficient time to perform acquisition planning, competitive solicitation and award of a follow-on AFCAP contract before May 2028, according to a special notice published Tuesday.
The adjustment to AFCAP V’s total ceiling value seeks to “accommodate future ordering of in-scope requirements through the existing ordering period,” the notice reads.
There are six companies that hold spots on the existing contract: Amentum, ECC International, Fluor (NYSE: FLR), KBR (NYSE: KBR), Readiness Management Support and Vectrus, which now operates as V2X (NYSE: VVX).
Industry stakeholders can submit their responses to the provided questionnaire with regard to the planned ceiling increase no later than Nov. 7.
