Andrew Cox became chief financial officer of Apogee following a more than two-year stint as vice president of finance at Parsons (NYSE: PSN), he announced in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
He has over 22 years of experience in financial management, most of them spent in the defense manufacturing industry.
Cox began as a financial manager at the former L3 Communications company, now L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX), in September 2001. He moved on to industrial machinery manufacturer ITT in 2008 as senior financial analyst, and in the same year, earned his master’s of business administration degree in finance at the University of Colorado in Colorado Springs.
His first senior leadership role was as CFO of defense and space contractor TechWise in 2009. Nearly six years later, he became VP of finance at Braxton Science & Technology Group, now owned by Parsons.
