Boeing (NYSE: BA) and AAR‘s (NYSE: AIR) government services subsidiary were awarded contract modifications worth $182.8 million combined to help repair, replace and maintain maritime patrol and reconnaissance aircraft engines for domestic and international military customers.
Both contractors will deliver P-8A Poseidon aircraft depot-level maintenance and support services to the U.S. Navy, Australian government and other foreign military sales customers, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Boeing will perform CFM56-7B27A/3 and CFM56-7B27AE engine depot-level maintenance and repair services in Georgia and Washington under a $95.4 million contract modification.
AAR Government Services secured $87.4 million to carry out technical directive incorporation, airframe modifications and engine replacement services at its Indiana facility.
