Commenting on the completion of the cash and stock transaction, Wahid Nawabi, chairman, president and CEO of AeroVironment, said on Monday, “[We are now] able to further integrate both companies’ technologies and accelerate our implementation of AI and autonomy into AeroVironment’s platforms, enabling us to offer the best solutions for our customers’ operational needs.”
The plan is to make the military system developer a part of the small unmanned aircraft systems business unit under AeroVironment’s unmanned systems segment.
Tomahawk Robotics brings to AeroVironment its flagship AI-enhanced and open architecture common control system Kinesis, which is used by the Department of Defense and other industry customers.
The Kinesis Ecosystem is designed to better equip and prepare warfighters on the battlefield.
AeroVironment will now cater to all Tomahawk Robotics customers. “We also plan to introduce Tomahawk Robotics solutions to AeroVironment’s growing network of more than 55 allied nations,” said Nawabi.
