The Department of the Interior has awarded 13 companies positions on a potential five-year, $1.5 billion contract for design and construction support services, according to an award notice published Tuesday.
The Construction Multiple Award Contract includes work encompassing a wide range of design-build and design-bid-build projects, according to a solicitation notice issued in June 2022.
Such projects include new construction; offsite design build construction; demolition, repair, alteration and renovation of buildings; offsite or modular construction; systems and infrastructure; and may include structural, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and communication systems.
Types of facilities to be built include but are not limited to medical, educational, administrative, detention, industrial, maintenance and operational facilities, warehouses, communications, personnel support, recreation, lodging, dormitory, training, ranges and roads.
Task order awardees will oversee all labor, engineering, design, materials, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, transportation and supplies to carry out the services described in the drawings and specifications for each individual project.
