Dynetics Secures $428M Army Contract Modification for Hypersonic Glide Tech Prototype Development

A Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) Dynetics subsidiary has received a potential four-year, $428.3 million contract modification from the U.S. Army to build prototypes of the Common-Hypersonic Glide Body system.

Dynetics Technical Solutions will perform work in Huntsville, Alabama, through July 23, 2027, the Department of Defense said Monday.

Army Contracting Command obligated $43.1 million in research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal year 2023.

In 2019, the Army awarded an other transaction agreement to a Dynetics-led team to develop C-HGB prototypes. The industry team includes Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), General Atomics and Raytheon, now known as RTX (NYSE: RTX).
