Richard Bonnett, vice president of engineering at Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, has been promoted to chief technology officer within the company’s unmanned systems business, according to a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
He joined the California-based national security and communications technology maker in 2018 after a 21-year career with Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT), where he most recently served as general manager for its Procerus Technologies subsidiary.
His Lockheed career also included senior management roles focused on flight controls, vehicle systems and air vehicle initial design and hardware in the loop integration on the F-35 program, and air vehicle engineering flight test operations and execution for the aircraft’s short takeoff and verticallanding and carrier variants.
Bonnett started his career in 1989 at McDonnell Douglas.
