Verizon to Modernize Postal Service Network Under $146M Contract; Maggie Hallbach Quoted

Verizon (NYSE: VZ) has booked a $145.7 million contract to help the U.S. Postal Service implement a cloud technology platform as part of agency infrastructure modernization efforts.

The project will include transitioning to a multichannel telecommunication system designed for USPS customer services that support 80 million interactions annually, Verizon said Wednesday.

Under the 10-year contract, the company plans to support the agency’s artificial intelligence integration goals through cloud migration.

Maggie Hallbach, senior vice president of Verizon’s public sector business and a 2023 Wash100 Award recipient, said the company intends to bring its network-as-a-service offering and digital tools to the project.
