Vishal Desai, most recently president of the national workflow automation business unit at SilverEdge Government Solutions, has assumed the role of chief technology officer at the Columbia, Maryland-based technology services provider.
In this capacity, he will oversee efforts to align the company’s engineering, product development and technology initiatives with growth strategies and manage digital transformation, research and development, tech partnerships and information technology operations, SilverEdge said Monday.
Desai, a system architect and engineer, will continue to broaden SilverEdge’s intellectual property portfolio and support ServiceNow implementations in support of intelligence and defense agency customers.
He brings to the role over two decades of business and technical experience. The former NASA engineer founded Savli Group, an IT service management platforms provider that now operates as SilverEdge’s wholly owned subsidiary.
Desai also participates in workflow automation industry conferences as a session speaker and moderator.
