He joins the AEI after nearly two years at the helm of BigBear, which the private equity firm established in December 2020 through the combination of portfolio companies NuWave Solutions and PCI Strategic Management.
Amanda “Mandy” Long, formerly an executive at IBM (NYSE: IBM), succeeded Brothers in the chief executive post at BigBear.
Brothers previously served as chief technology officer at Peraton and director of mission applications at BAE Systems. His government work experience includes tenure as undersecretary for science and technology at the Department of Homeland Security, deputy assistant secretary for research at the Department of Defense and program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
