The company will repair 194 items and provide 164 spares for F/A-18 and EA-18G flight control surfaces, refueling systems, airframe components and support equipment as part of the Naval Supply Systems Command’s Strategic Sustainment Solution contracting program.
International customers covered by the sole-source contract include Spain, Australia, Kuwait, Malaysia, Finland and Switzerland.
The BOA, the largest such agreement from NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support, also covers support for the AV-8B and TAV8-B Harrier II ground attack aircraft.
“This is a mutually beneficial agreement for the government and the defense industrial base,” said Lt. Cmdr. Michael Marchese, director of fixed wing contracts at NAVSUP WSS.
“It is fully aligned with improving the Navy’s End-to-End Supply Chains for multiple aviation weapon systems under the broader Naval Sustainment System-Supply alongside one of the Navy’s most critical industry partners,” Marchese added.
The EA-18G combat aircraft support advanced airborne electronic attack missions for the Navy and joint force and the F/A-18 jets serve as frontline multirole strike fighters of the service branch.
