USTRANSCOM to Host Pre-Proposal Conference for $151M Managed IT Services Contract

U.S. Transportation Command will conduct a pre-proposal conference in April at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois to provide industry stakeholders an opportunity to know more about the potential five-year, $151 million Managed Information Technology Services contract.

The MITS contract will provide technical, program management and strategic guidance and support services to help USTRANSCOM operate and modernize its systems, infrastructure and applications, according to a solicitation notice published Thursday.

USTRANSCOM will use the managed services that will be provided under the contract to improve information sharing, integration and data security through a streamlined IT approach and expects innovation with cloud environments, consolidated operations and common architecture in alignment with its objectives, according to the performance work statement.

The combatant command expects the contract vehicle to support classified and unclassified programs on multiple security domains and networks and deliver services across five performance areas.

These performance areas are contract and program management; enterprise activities and services; infrastructure development/sustainment; application development and sustainment; and other special services.

USTRANSCOM will accept proposals through May 3.

The command will conduct two sessions on April 21 and April 22 for the pre-proposal conference. Interested stakeholders that intend to participate in the event should make arrangements not later than April 5.
