Ron Bewtra, an 18-year federal information technology veteran, has joined Hewlett Packard Enterprise (NSYE: HPE) to serve as director of high-performance computing.
He wrote Tuesday in a LinkedIn post that he will manage offerings within HPE’s leadership computing vertical segment.
Before he rejoined industry, Bewtra was chief technology officer at the Department of Justice from April 2015 to December 2021 and co-chair of the U.S. Federal Chief Information Officers Council’s innovation committee over the past three years.
He previously held the CTO role at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration with responsibility for the agency’s HPC and information technology services.
His private-sector experience included positions at Raytheon Company, SGI and FNX Limited.
