Raytheon Technologies‘ (NYSE: RTX) intelligence and space business has won a $340 million contract to help the U.S. Air Force operate and maintain a sea-based active electronically scanned array radar system.
The company will support the Cobra King radar system‘s mobile sensors under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Work will take place at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida and other locations outside the continental U.S. through Oct. 31, 2031.
According to the Pentagon’s operational test and evaluation office, Cobra King is designed to emit S and X-band phased arrays to support treaty monitoring and verification activities, as well as ballistic missile data collection, onboard the range instrumentation ship USNS Howard O. Lorenzen.
