Ben McNeal, a 30-year U.S. Navy veteran and former program manager for Naval Enterprise Networks, has been named director of Navy and Marine Corps strategy and sales at Red Hat.
Nathan Jones, vice president of the federal business at Red Hat, announced in a LinkedIn post the addition of McNeal to the software company’s public sector team and said the retired Navy captain brings information technology experience from the Department of Defense to his new position.
In his previous capacity, McNeal managed tactical edge and enterprise networks for the Department of the Navy.
His career at DOD also covered acquisition and contracting, application and solution integration and hardware and software deployment functions.
