Ball Aerospace has won a five-year, $91 million contract to help the U.S. Air Force develop protected mission systems using an open systems approach and modern computing technology.
The company will perform cybersecurity, open-system architecture, high-speed networks, modeling and simulation, precision timing and heterogeneous processing work under the Trusted and Elastic Military Platforms and EW System Technologies program, the Department of Defense said Friday.
TEMPEST’s Resilient and Agile Mission Systems segment will focus on “agile” development of cybersecure avionics systems.
