Army Engineers Award Nine Spots on $240M Munition Response Program Support Contract

Two joint ventures and seven independent firms have won spots on a $240 million contract from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to help the military branch mitigate potentially hazardous munitions found at defense training and testing areas.

USACE received 18 bids for the firm-fixed-price contract covering support services to the Military Munitions Response Program via the internet, the Department of Defense said Friday.

The agency estimates contractors will finish work by Sept. 11, 2028.

DOD created the Military Munitions Response Program in 2001 to address explosive safety, health and environmental risks from unexploded ordnance, munition constituents and discarded military munitions in non-operational rangelands.
