Dedrone has named Ben Wenger, a two-decade enterprise software sales veteran, as chief revenue officer and appointed Mary-Lou Smulders, strategic adviser at the counter-drone technology provider since February 2020, as chief marketing officer.
The San Francisco-based company said Tuesday Wenger will oversee worldwide sales of Dedrone’s platform in the government and enterprise markets, while Smulders will lead its global team of marketing and communications personnel.
Wenger previously served as vice president of sales at Everbridge and developed the emergency communications technology firm’s go-to-market strategy. He also worked as senior sales director at CA Technologies, which Broadcom acquired in November 2018.
Smulders held the CMO position at fintech company 9th Gear Technologies and mass notification system provider AtHoc.
The 20-year software industry veteran also held the roles of senior VP for global applications and services marketing at Oracle (NYSE: ORCL), advised Booz & Co. on strategic transformation efforts and worked as an engineer for ExxonMobil and Shell Oil.
