Stephen Browning, a 23-year U.S. Army Corps of Engineers veteran, has been named senior vice president of federal markets at Pittsburgh-based infrastructure engineering and consulting services provider Michael Baker International.
He will be responsible for executing projects in the federal civilian segment and supporting USACE civil works portfolio in his new position, the company said Thursday.
Browning worked at USACE and spent 11 years as a Senior Executive Service member before his industry transition. He led the public engineering agency's emergency response efforts in New York City following the events of Sept. 11, 2001.
Most recently, he was a manager at Navarro Research and Engineering with responsibility for its asset and information management, archives and maintenance work on the Department of Energy's Legacy Management Program.
He previously held various leadership positions at CH2M — which Jacobs (NYSE: J) acquired in late 2017 — Weston Solutions and MWH Global.
