General Atomics has acquired Tiger Innovations, a developer of software and computing hardware for space systems or support equipment, for an undisclosed sum.
Tiger Innovations will operate under General Atomics' electromagnetic systems group and focuses on applying technologies to airborne communications, control processors and other embedded systems, General Atomics said Monday.
Scott Forney, president of GA-EMS, said the transaction expands the company's footprint in Northern Virginia and its space technology development infrastructure.
He added that Tiger Innovations has helped government customers develop satellite systems designed to address size, weight and power requirements.
