Civic Engagement Platform Provider Granicus Gets Investment From Harvest, Vista Equity Partners; Mark Hynes Quoted

Granicus, a cloud-based citizen engagement technology and services provider headquartered in Denver, has received a joint investment from Harvest Partners and Vista Equity Partners

The investment will further advance Granicus’ growth initiatives as the company continues to support government agencies as they move to the cloud and implement digital transformation programs to improve their connectivity to citizens and modernize operations, Granicus said Thursday.

Granicus CEO Mark Hynes said the company is proud to play a role in helping government clients accelerate digital connectivity with citizens amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We are thrilled to continue our work with Vista while adding Harvest to the team as we work side-by-side with governments on their digital transformation journeys,” Hynes added.

Granicus has supported more than 4,500 government agencies and 250M citizens through its integrated mobile and web applications, virtual civic participation platforms, digital service delivery and digital communications systems. The company provides its Civic Engagement Platform for the public sector to help agencies connect to citizens.

William Blair & Co. acted as Granicus’ exclusive financial adviser, while Kirkland & Ellis served as its legal adviser.
