The Air Force selected Amentum to provide maintenance services for all fixed-wing aircraft platforms under the 10-year, $14 billion Aircraft Maintenance Enterprise Solution (ACES) contract vehicle. Amentum was awarded a position on the new multi-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract in July.
“We are excited to continue serving our Air Force customers under the ACES contract,” said Dr. Karl Spinnenweber, executive vice president and general manager of Amentum’s Mission Readiness Group. “Amentum is currently providing critical services to Air Force clients across the globe and looks forward to using ACES to expand our service offerings.”
Under the ACES contract, Amentum will compete for task orders to provide aircraft maintenance services for Air Education and Training Command customers. The company will also deliver agile support for emerging Air Force requirements.
The Air Force maintenance services could include organizational maintenance across aviation platforms, excluding rotary-wing, tiltrotor and remotely piloted aircraft (RPA); intermediate (I)-level maintenance, such as mission design series including rotary wing, tiltrotor and RPAs; and support activities.
The support activities will include sunshade, static display and aerospace ground equipment maintenance; corrosion control and aircraft painting; munitions management and storage; and maintenance recovery team services.
