Adriane Brown, former president of Intellectual Ventures and a venture partner at Flying Fish Partners, has joined the board of directors of law enforcement technology provider Axon (Nasdaq: AAXN).
Axon said Wednesday its board voted last week to give Brown a formal offer after an extensive six-month search and her addition brings the number of the company's independent directors to eight.
The company expects each director to hold at least 8K shares.
Her career also includes time as CEO and president of Honeywell's (NYSE: HON) transportation systems business and held a 19-year career at materials manufacturing company Corning.
Brown previously served on the boards at Raytheon, Harman and Allergan. Currently, She also serves as board chair at Seattle's Pacific Science Center and is a board member of the Washington Research Foundation and eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY).
