Ken Beecher
Ken Beecher, an 11-year veteran of IBM (NYSE: IBM), has joined health services provider Optum as a vice president and client executive for the Department of Veterans Affairs, FedHealthIT reported Friday.
He brings more than two decades of federal contracting and financial services experience to his new position.
Beecher previously served as director and account executive of McLean, Va.-based information technology services contractor Acumen Solutions and director of business development at Dynanet, an IT company headquartered in Elkridge, Md.
During his nearly four-year tenure with Acumen, the company received a Public Sector Partnership Innovation Award for contributions to the VA Enterprise Case Management Solutions project.
His career at IBM includes time as associate partner, account executive, senior practitioner and service area manager within firm's global business services organization.
