Freedom Consulting Group has acquired St. Louis-based Geodata IT for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its core capabilities and presence in the geographic information system market.
FCG and Geodata IT will maintain their organizational structures, operations and names as part of the transaction, the companies said in a joint release published Thursday.
“The innovation and growth in the geospatial intelligence community in St. Louis was certainly appealing as we evaluated where to make strategic investments,” said FCG CEO Dana Gift. “Ultimately, the decision to bring Geodata IT into the FCG family came down to shared values and both organizations’ commitment to its people and mission.”
Geodata IT is a veteran-owned small business established in 2012 and provides geospatial information technology platforms and services to agencies within the intelligence community and the Department of Defense.
Founded in 2004, Columbia, Md.-based FCG provides business intelligence, engineering and data analytics services to the intelligence community in support of national security missions.
