Donald Trigg
Donald Trigg, an 18-year veteran of Cerner (Nasdaq: CERN), has been promoted as president of the Kansas City-based health information technology provider.
He will oversee Cerner's clinical electronic health records, strategic growth and revenue cycle management businesses as well as its key product lines, portfolio, key product lines and profitability, the company said Tuesday.
Trigg will also drive the firm's programmatic and strategic efforts related to the modernization of technology and the development of cognitive IT platforms. He has held various positions since he joined Cerner in 2002, which included president of health ventures and leader of government practice.
He previously served as chief revenue officer of natural language processing company CodeRyte, which develops natural language processing tools for clinical use.
His public-sector career includes time as senior adviser for George W. Bush's 2000 presidential campaign in Austin and a policy director at the Department of Commerce.
In the same announcement, Cerner said it also appointed John Peterzalek, former head of the company’s Atlantic operations, to the position of chief client and services officer.
The three-decade IT industry veteran will oversee the company’s services, consulting, support and hosting organizations. His expanded role also entails continued management of sales and client relationships under a new Client Success office.
