Ravi Ravichandran
Ravi Ravichandran, a technology industry veteran, has been appointed vice president and chief technology officer for the intelligence and security sector at BAE Systems’ U.S. subsidiary.
He will oversee the development, transition and integration of next-generation platforms in support of BAE Systems Inc.’s programs and future technology initiatives, the company said Tuesday.
Al Whitmore, president of BAE’s intelligence and security sector and a 2020 Wash100 award winner, said Ravichandran brings to BAE his business and technical experience and will help expand the firm’s technologies in cloud, artificial intelligence and machine learning, enterprise IT modernization and data analytics as the company advances systems integration capabilities.
Ravichandran has more than 25 years of experience in prototype development and technology innovation. He previously served as director of electronic systems at BAE’s FAST Labs and spent more than a decade at Scientific Systems as manager of research and development.
