FLIR Systems (Nasdaq: FLIR) has won a potential five-year, $109M contract to provide a robotic platform designed to replace the U.S. Army’s Remote Ordnance Neutralization System robots.
The service branch is procuring up to 350 Common Robotic System-Heavy units through the cost plus-fixed-fee, firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Thursday .
Services will include work to refurbish CRS(H) spare parts, user training logistics and test support.
The Army formally awarded the hybrid contract to Endeavor Robotics , which FLIR acquired in March for approximately $382M in cash.
CRS(H) robots are designed to help soldiers track, evaluate and dispose of explosive munitions.
Army Contracting Command received two offers for the procurement effort and will provide funds and location details upon issuance of orders.
DoD expects contract work to conclude by Nov. 12, 2024.
