Doug Kumbalek
Doug Kumbalek, a more than three-decade defense and private sector veteran, has been appointed vice president of strategic growth at protection and security engineering services provider System High.
He will be responsible for driving System High’s corporate strategy and expanding its customer base and professional services portfolio in his new position, System High said in a press release.
Previously, Kumbalek was director of the cyber solutions division at Fairfax, Va.-based company Cyberspace Solutions and spent more than 13 years at Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) where he led programs with the departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs as well as other customer agencies.
Before he joined industry, Kumbalek served as senior operations adviser at the Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization, now Joint Improvised-Threat Defeat Organization, and a naval aviator at the U.S. Marine Corps.
Rob Howe, president and CEO of System High, said Kumbalek brings experience leading teams that supported national security efforts within the defense and intelligence communities.
System High is headquartered in Chantilly, Va., and offers proactive protection, cybersecurity and training services. The company holds a spot on contract vehicles managed by the General Services Administration and U.S. Navy.
