Larry Melton
Larry Melton, formerly a principal vice president at Bechtel, has joined the board of directors of Dewberry.
He brings to Dewberry his construction and engineering experience that includes management of public infrastructure projects within the U.S. and Canada, the company said Monday.
Melton held a two-decade career at Bechtel, where he also directed design-build efforts for the Edmonton Valley Line Light Rail Transit project in the Canadian province of Alberta and served as project executive director for phase 1 of the Dulles Corridor Metrorail project in Northern Virginia.
Before joining the private sector, Melton was a U.S. Marine Corps officer and led multiple units for extended deployments across South America, the Middle East and Asia.
He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Project Management Institute, the Moles and the Conference of Minority Transportation Officials.
