Mike Thomson, interim chief financial officer of Unisys (NYSE: UIS) since April, has been appointed to the CFO position on a permanent basis.
He concurrently serves as corporate controller and oversees the company’s finance department encompassing controllership, treasury, mergers and acquisitions, taxes, internal audit, systems, investor relations and corporate strategy, Unisys said Monday.
Thomson held a more than 14-year career at professional services company Towers Watson where he previously held the roles of principal accounting officer and controller.
“His deep understanding of Unisys, its people and its processes have proven to be invaluable in helping us strengthen our balance sheet and create additional flexibility in our capital structure since he joined the company,” said Unisys Chairman and CEO Peter Altabef.
