Cubic (NYSE: CUB) has broken ground on a campus that will consolidate two main company facilities located in San Diego into a new global headquarters.
The future HQ building will feature a solar power system, electric vehicle charging platforms and energy-efficient equipment, Cubic said Tuesday.
“We are thrilled our new campus will bring together our San Diego employees onto one centralized location where we can continue to achieve excellence through teamwork,” said Bradley Feldmann, chairman, president and CEO of Cubic.
Feldmann, a former Wash100 recipient, added the company has been headquartered in the city for six decades.
Cisterra Development is helping Cubic redevelop the existing site through a synthetic lease.
The project is scheduled to conclude by December 2020.
