Information technology industry veterans Steven Picot and Richard Breakiron have been named to sales leadership positions for the U.S. public sector at Commvault (Nasdaq: CVLT).
Picot will oversee Commvault’s public sector business and Breakiron will serve as senior director of strategic initiatives, Commvault said Thursday.
They will report to Anthony Faustini, vice president of sales for the Americas, and help agencies leverage cloud, data and modern infrastructure to support IT modernization efforts.
“Steve’s experience will be essential to our expansion into the public sector, while Richard has spent 40 years supporting the U.S. Department of Defense and brings an insider perspective into how these organizations can use technology to transform their businesses,” Faustini said.
Prior to Commvault, Picot worked at cybersecurity firm root9B as chief revenue officer. He also held senior leadership roles at IronNet Cybersecurity, ViON, Cisco Systems and Ascolta.
Breakiron most recently served as executive VP for public sector at root9B and prior to that, he worked at ViON as senior director of cyber solutions. He also served as executive program director for the Defense Information Systems Agency™s Joint Regional Security Stack program and as a network capacity domain manager and acting chief integration officer within the office of the U.S. Army™s chief information officer.
