The Naval Facilities Engineering Command awarded a $50M contract modification for six companies to continue to provide design-build or design-bid-build services within NAVFACs Northwest area of responsibility.
The modification increases the potential value of a small disadvantaged business multiple-award construction contract to $149M, the Department of Defense said Monday.
Contractors can vie for task orders to build, refurbish, demolish and repair facilities such as housing, administrative offices, commercial buildings, childcare centers, institutional offices, community centers, warehouses and other locations for recreation and fitness.
NAVFAC received 30 proposals for the SMACC indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract through a competitive procurement on FedBizOpps.
Ninety percent of the projects will occur in Washington state. The Pentagon expects contractors to complete services by August 2023.
