Andrea Garvey, former data governance officer for the Maryland Department of Human Resources, has joined citizen experience and digital platforms provider HighPoint Global as senior director of health and human services.
She will oversee the development of strategies for new and existing clients in support of organizations focused on health and human services, the company said Tuesday.
Scott Willis, chief operating officer of HighPoint Global, said Garveys government experience would help the company implement growth efforts and assist clients in designing platforms to meet mission requirements.
HighPoint brings tremendous experience in transforming how agencies like the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services interacts with citizens through their contact centers and I am looking forward to helping them apply that experience to other agencies, Garvey said.
She led the creation of data risk management and legal compliance framework for MD Think, a cloud-based platform for health and human services, as a data governance officer.
Garvey also designed and implemented the states first opioid operational command center as policy adviser to the chief of staff of Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan.
