GlobalFoundries will continue to provide the Department of Defense access to microelectronic processes under a $121M contract modification from the Defense Microelectronics Activity.
The modification represents the third option under a previously awarded contract and brings the potential cumulative value to $501.4M, the Pentagon said Friday.
Work under the exercised option will take place in Vermont and New York through March 31, 2020.
DMEA will obligate $54.9M in fiscal 2019 funds on the award. The activity develops and tests microelectronic systems and components for use in military weapons.
