Mitre Makes Senior Leadership Appointments; Jason Providakes Quoted

Mitre has promoted one executive and hired two executives as the McLean, Va.-based nonprofit corporation aims to transform business operations.

The company said Monday Kathleen Federico, most recently a vice president and chief human resources officer, has elevated to the positions of senior VP and chief HR and strategic communications officer.

Usha Chaudhary, formerly president and chief operating officer of real estate firm Kettler, will serve as SVP of corporate operations and chief transformation officer at Mitre.

She will oversee the nonprofit’s business transformation efforts, strategic development, enterprise computing information and security, financial functions and corporate real estate operations in her new role.

Laurie Giandomenico, an enterprise software and energy industry veteran, will serve as VP and chief acceleration officer responsible for brand strategy and growth initiatives.

She began her career as a technical staff member of Mitre.

Jason Providakes, president and CEO of Mitre and a 2019 Wash100 winner, said that all three executives will help accelerate the organization’s efforts to attract and retain talent, provide services to its sponsors and partners, and manage partnership and business opportunities.
