The Defense Departmentsaid WednesdaySiemens Government Technologies will modernize boiler plants, chiller systems, motors and water and lighting systems at Naval Station Rota, Naval Support Activity Naples and Naval Air Station Sigonella.
SGT will also measure, verify, operate, maintain and replace systems under the task order awarded through a multiple-award energy savings performance contract.
DoD noted that SGT will use funds from a private financing initiative to implement the project, with completion predicted for October 2039.
