Dana Mehnert
Dana Mehnert, senior vice president and chief global business development officer at Harris (NYSE: HRS), will be functioning as president of the firm’s communication systems business beginning Sept. 30.
He will oversee the $1.9B business and succeed Chris Young, whose nearing retirement follows a 36-year tenure with Harris and its subsidiaries, Exelisand ITT, the company said Wednesday.
William Brown, chairman, president and CEO of Harris, said Mehnert will work to implement the business’ growth tactics and maintain its market competitiveness by making more investments in newer innovative tools and keeping an efficient operational system in place.
Mehnert has served at Harris for 33 years and leads revenue growth efforts for three of the company’s business units in his current role.
Previously, he supported Harris’ distribution of military and public safety communication technologies as president of the firm’s RF Communications business.
