Bob Fortna
Bob Fortna, president of Fortinets (Nasdaq: FTNT) federal business, has been elected to AFCEA Internationals board of directors as vice chairman.
Fortna will assist the board chairman in overseeing AFCEAs affairs and serve on the nonprofit organizations budget and finance committee as vice chairman, AFCEA said Thursday.
Bob Shea, AFCEA president and CEO, said Fortna has provided insight and helped improve the organizations fiscal posture as a member of the audit panel.
As a long-standing member of AFCEA, its an honor to join the leadership team and help foster communication among these groups on matters of national security, said Fortna, who also serves on Fortinet Federal‘s board.
Fortna, a more than 15-year AFCEA member, has served as chairman of the organizations audit panel and member of the executive committee and board.
He started his career at IBMs (NYSE: IBM) federal division and previously held senior leadership roles at Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR), Avaya (NYSE: AVYA), Enterasys Networks, Nortel Networks and Government Industry Consulting.
